DC Sgr urges caution with heating devices after Rainawari blaze | KNO

Srinagar, Nov 19 (KNO): After a devastating fire in Abi Gurpora Rainawari, which left at least 18 small-sized residential structures damaged and nearly two dozen families homeless, the District Magistrate Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat expressed concern over the unfortunate incident and provided an update on ongoing relief efforts. “Our teams have been deployed here since yesterday to assess the damage and provide necessary assistance,” said Dr. Bhat while speaking to the media persons, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO). He said, “We are making arrangements for accommodation and food for those displaced, and the SDRF will be providing relief today, as well.” Bhat further said efforts are being made to improve connectivity in the affected area, with plans to widen roads and ease access. In light of the ongoing winter season, Dr. Bhat urged residents to exercise caution while using heating devices. “These incidents can be averted with proper care,” he said—(KNO)
